Led by 18 year old striker Leighton McIntosh's 4 goals and Matt Lockwood's 1 from the spot, Dundee advanced comfortably into the 2nd Round match with Hamilton. East Fife was powerless to contain McIntosh's onslaught.
The match was Tony Apres first competitive match in charge.
Dundee at Dens Park looks a good bet to make a long run in this seasons Challenge Cup.
